Ambitious Quote

Salvador Dali once said, "Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings." This means if your intelligent but not ambitious you cant  accomplish anything like a bird without wings. This quote is true because you can be as smart as you want to be, but if you don't set goals for yourself and strive for excellence what's the point of being intelligence. This is shown in the book The Underdog in many ways like how Will Tyler is smart on the football field and how he sets goals for himself and works hard to achieve them. Will Tyler is a good example of this quote shown in the novel, when he try's to start a new team and stay ambitious for next football season and for his teammates. This also means when he is think of moving to the county next to him so he can play football. It also is shown when he finally gets a team; even though he has a new team with one man short the team will still be ambitious for the new season and even invite a unexpected person to play with them.

I have chosen the book the underdogs. I think this book is going to be about a football team that wasn't all that good but through teamwork and ambition they achieved there goals and played better as a whole. I also think they shocked a lot of people by doing so. I chose this book because I play football and I have had experience of hardship and I had to be ambitious to overcome them.
